Funding applications open for Tuapeka-Lawrence community groups

Applications are now open for grants from the newly established TLCC Community Fund.

This fund has been set up to support community groups in the Lawrence-Tuapeka area. Funding is available for with projects that support the community, enhance the area or encourage tourism.

This fund has been set up using a donation from the now disestablished Tuapeka-Lawrence Community Company.

Funding requirements:

• Applications are open to formally established community groups in the Tuapeka-Lawrence area. Individuals are not eligible.

• Funding allocations are limited - eligible community groups may be granted a maximum of one allocation each year.

• Funding applications must be for a specific project.

• Projects must clearly benefit the wider community, not only the group's members.

• Projects must support the community, enhance the area, or encourage tourism.

There will be two funding rounds available each year, with $2,500.00 available per round.

Round 1 – closes 5pm, 16 June 2023

Round 2 – closes 5pm, 20 October 2023

In July 2023 the following community groups received grants:

- Clutha Valley Tuapeka Heritage Trust - $500.00
- The Lawrence Bike Club Inc - $2,500.00
- The Lawrence Cultural & Charitable Heritage Trust - $2,000.00
