Clutha District Council has a partnership with Creative New Zealand to promote, support, and increase participation in community arts and cultural activities in the Clutha district.
The Creative Communities Scheme supports a wide range of art projects.

There is no limit for applications, however, allocations are normally between $200 - $5,000.
The Creative Communities Festival Fund is an added one-off boost to support established festivals that have been impacted by COVID-19. The festival is to celebrate the life experiences, stories, cultures and regional identities of New Zealanders.
To be eligible the festival must meet the same criteria as the regular funding but also to have been run at least once within the last 5 years and be delivered by the end of June 2024. The usual CCS form can be used for the application, but you must specify that you are applying to the festival fund.

There are up to three funding rounds each year. In 2023-24 the funding round are:

Round 2 - closes 8 March 2024
Additional round (if required) - closes 7 June 2024
