Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund

The Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund is designed to help subsidise travel for junior teams participating in local sport competitions. Applications are open to rural sport clubs and rural school teams with young people aged between 5-19 years, who require subsidies to assist with transport expenses to local competitions (excluding travel to regional or national events).

Applications are now open for the 2027 year of funding. The closing date is Friday 6th November 2026
