Candidate profile
I am a New Zealand citizen who emigrated from Hong Kong in October 1988. After some 25 years working in Local Government in New Zealand, I retired and moved to live in Lawrence in October 2016. Over time, I have become an engaged and contributing member of the Lawrence Community. I am proactive, hard-working, and a good communicator. Being a team player with good networking skills, I get things done. I put particular emphasis on timely, clear communication to ensure that the community is well-informed and engaged in Council's decision-making which affects the wellbeing of the community. My extensive experience in Local Government - across both rural and urban settings - makes me well-equipped to serve as an elected member for the Lawrence-Tuapeka Ward.
