Kia ora, I'm Joanne Thomson, a proud Clinton local, small business owner, and long-time community advocate.
I'm standing for Council to ensure rural voices are heard and respected. I bring a strong community focus and a practical, common-sense approach to local issues. My priorities include supporting local businesses, families, and youth, improving infrastructure, and ensuring smaller towns like ours aren't left behind.
I'm especially passionate about fair, transparent decision-making around essential services that impact all of us daily. We need solutions that make sense for the people who live, work, and travel here.
If elected, I'll be a strong voice for the Clutha District: accessible, accountable, and always putting people first.
