My principal place of residence is not in the Clinton-Clydevale Ward area.
Candidate profile
At present I am the last councillor for the Clutha Valley ward, I live and farm with my wife Camille near Greenfield.
I wish to continue my community involvement as a rural based councillor representing the new Clinton/Clydevale ward and of course the wider Clutha District.
I have learned a lot around how council operates in my first term. I ask plenty of questions at the council table and am not afraid to join in debate, but always with respect for staff and fellow councillors.
I stand with no agenda, as I have learnt that with council, issues will come to you. Two very important issues over the next term to work through will be, the transition of water services to the new water organisation, especially our rural schemes, and minimising future rate increases for remaining council functions.
