The Clutha District Council is seeking to consult and engage with the engineering industry and the general public, as it works towards drafting an Engineering Code of Practice (ECP).
As part of consultation, an in-person informational session will be held to discuss the general principals of the ECP and answer any questions. This ECP Information Session will be held on Wednesday 18 March 2026 in the Clutha District Council Chambers, 1 Rosebank Terrace, from 1pm to 3pm.
Following this, a consultation period will remain open to allow time for final comments and feedback. Consultation will close at 5pm on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
All feedback should be sent by email to submissions@cluthadc.govt.nz.
The draft ECP is available for viewing below. We recommend those that are interested in attending the information session take the time to review these documents prior to attending, so that any initial thoughts, feedback or comments can be raised with staff at the meeting.
An indicative agenda will be sent out the morning of the meeting to those that have RSVPed. Staff representation from a number of Council areas will be in attendance to answer department-specific questions as required.
Once the feedback period ends, CDC will review feedback and may be in touch to seek further clarification about your submission. It will then be considered and potentially incorporated into the ECP.
A final copy will be made available on the website once the ECP is approved by Council. The indicative date for Council approval is currently 29 April 2026, however, this may be extended as required.
To RSVP for the information session on Wednesday, 18 March please email help.desk@cluthadc.govt.nz.
