Candidate profile
A bit about me. I am a 58 year old farmer / tractor driver / contractor. In the community I've been president of Toko A&P for 3 years, only just leaving the committee in last 2 years. I've been actively involved in Roundtable, Rotary and now I'm vice president of Lions, vice president of South Otago Heritage Park, also minutes secretary of South Otago Car Club and past president for 4 years.
I have strong beliefs in making council fiscally responsible and working on reducing debt. I believe we have to go back to our core business of providing basic infrastructure and doing it well also of using the expertise we have invested in heavily in water and roading. I am always available to public and I do listen. I have enjoyed my time in council and would like to continue working for the community.
