Locally born and bred, and proud to say, 'I am a Balclutha boy'.
I have served as a councillor on the Balclutha Ward for ten years and believe over this time I have been a fair and effective representative for ratepayers. I feel democratic leadership requires unbiased opinion and decisions should be made with factual, balanced information.
Clutha District is transitioning through very tough times and now more than ever an experienced, pragmatic and considered approach to rates affordability is required, without jeopardising core services, infrastructure, and community well-being.
Central Government needs to be challenged with common sense and local knowledge.
I believe a steady set of hands is required to lead our district into the next triennium and beyond, and feel the time is right for me.
Representing the community is a privilege and something that I take very seriously.
