Repairs will begin to a section of Union Street/State Highway 1 Milton as scheduled from Monday (7 September 2026).
Isaac Construction’s roading subcontractor, Fulton Hogan will be carrying out works between Duthie Street and Park Road.
This will involve excavating down about 230mm into the road from the centre line to the parking lane, then the road will be asphalted.
Once this is completed, the detour via Melville Avenue and Centennial Avenue will be lifted, in October.
In the meantime, some temporary repairs are taking place on Centennial Ave to keep it safe and useable. The road will be repaired once SH1 is able to take traffic once more.
Adverse weather this week has delayed the scheduled works on the sewer line upgrade on Park Road and the work programme has had to be adjusted accordingly.
We will provide an update when work can commence.
See map below showing residents’ entry to their properties at the Four Square Tokomairiro Milton end of the work zone.
The team on the ground will be updating residents every few days about accessing their properties, as work progresses.
Thank you for your continuing patience while we work through this project.
