​Tuapeka Mouth Punt is temporarily closed

The Tuapeka Mouth Punt is temporarily closed after notification from Roxburgh Dam that river flows are expected to increase to more than 1100 cumecs.

Current flows are about 900 cumecs.

For safety, the punt has been moved to the Rongahere side and will remain there during the weekend.

At this stage, we do not expect it to return to the home side until early next week.

We’ll continue to monitor river conditions and will provide an update when the punt is able to reopen.
