Resident Satisfaction Survey results released for 2026
The annual Resident Satisfaction Survey continues to be an important feedback tool for Council and elected members.
Conducted by The Curiosity Company between 9 and 24 June, the survey sampled 300 people asking them a range of satisfaction questions across council services.
Clutha District Mayor Jason (Jock) Martin says the survey provides both negative and positive results.
“As with previous years, the results reflect both the commendable aspects and areas for improvement. We take this feedback seriously as we strive to enhance our services for residents and ratepayers,” he says.
He notes with the current dynamics within central and local government, many community members are feeling unsettled.
Residents are advocating for improvements in roading, footpath maintenance and prudent financial management that focuses on essential projects, and effective management of rates.
We are fully aware of these concerns and committed to addressing them, Mayor Martin says.
“The survey is important but it’s not the only tool we use to engage with our communities, and I encourage people to keep participating in local government discussion, particularly when it comes to the forthcoming Long Term Plan. We want to hear from our residents, and all feedback is worthy to receive so we can keep working harder for the District.”
