Clutha District Council is thrilled to have placed second
nationally in the 2025 ALGIM Customer Experience Awards earlier this year.
Mayor Jock Martin and Councillors were presented with the
CDC’s report and feedback from ALGIM in the Council meeting today.
The report, which highlights a variety of customer service
avenues including Council’s phone, email and online portal, noted Clutha
District Council as having an exceptionally strong overall customer experience
result.
ALGIM mystery shops all councils in NZ every year. Previous
year results had Clutha District Council placed 63rd in 2023, 33rd in 2024, and
second in 2025
.
Council was awarded an overall score of 97.6% under the
2025 Customer Experience Benchmarking Programme, with a ‘mature and
well-embedded customer experience capability’.
The results are a key indicator of Council’s commitment to
consistent experiences, strong performance at peak times and clear, reliable
communication, demonstrating Council’s organisation-wide resilience,
operational stability and integrity to our communities.
Mayor Jock Martin was thrilled with the result.
“There are many staff behind the scenes, doing great things
unseen. Today they are seen.”
Huge pat on the back and congratulations to
all of our customer experience superstars and staff throughout the district!
