Waihola Reservoir renewal works to begin
Waihola Reservoir Renewal Works
8 September - 20 October 2025
Affecting 6, 8, 13,14 & 15 Kingsgate Lane, Waihola
Council's contractor, Isaac Construction Ltd, will begin construction work at the Waihola Reservoir site on Monday, 8 September. This planned work is to replace the current outdated concrete tanks with new plastic tanks, increasing overall storage capacity.
Two plastic tanks will be temporarily installed over Kingsgate Lane. These two tanks will supply water to the scheme while Council's contractor replaces the existing reservoirs with eight new, 30m³ plastic tanks.
Residents are advised that contractor vehicles will be moving around Kingsgate Lane while this work is being completed. Working safely on our roads is a priority for Council and Isaac Construction. The worksite is isolated and there will be safety signs to manage risks and the safety of residents and staff.
Our contractor will be working to minimise disruption, however there could be disruption to parking, noise and we may require the use of driveways and road access on occasion.
Connection cutting-over may require a temporary shutdown of water supply. However, if a shutdown is required residents will be advised with with advance notice through Council’s usual communication channels, including Antenno.
If you have any questions about this renewal work please contact Council on 0800 801 350.
