Our contractor will be continuing renewals to the wastewater and stormwater network on the section of Union Street/SH1 between Park Road and Melville Ave from tomorrow (Thursday, 8 October) for the next four weeks.
The hours of work will be between 7am to 6pm - Monday to Thursday, and 7am to 4pm – Friday.

What to expect for residents
The property owners affected by the works have been notified by letter.
We will be working to minimise disruption. Residents will be able to access their properties, but on the days when trenching and installation work is being carried out and their driveway needs to be used, property owners will be notified.
What else to expect - for residents and public
There will be disruption to the parking area along this section of Union St while the trenching and installation of the pipe work takes place, and there will be some disruption with noise: We may need access to properties when connections are made on the private drain laterals.
Traffic will be able to travel in both directions but there will be safety measures and a 30km/h speed restriction in place, with the shoulder and parking lane closed.
In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, this work may be rescheduled.
