​​Eldorado Track temporarily closed for widening work

Eldorado Track will be closed for approximately six weeks from Monday, 5 October 2026, to allow road-widening works to be carried out.

This is part of the wider construction project for Mercury Energy’s Puke Kapo Hau Wind Farm.

Due to the nature of the works and for safety reasons the road will be closed to general traffic during this period.

Authorised access will be maintained for affected property owners and other approved users.

Road users are asked to follow all temporary traffic management signage and instructions while the works are underway.

The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately six weeks, subject to weather and construction conditions.
