Proposed Temporary Road Closure - Lake to Sea Trail Ride
(Pursuant to the Local Government Act 1974)
Clutha District Council proposes to close sections of the following roads between 10.00am to 4.30pm on Saturday 31 October 2026 for the purpose of the Lake to Sea Trail Ride:
- Quoin Point Road (at Akatore Rd end)
- Irishmans Road (last 200m at beach end)
- Akatore Road (at Easons Rd, also at Quoin Point Rd)
- Bull Creek Road (beyond Rapid 114)
- Eason Road (at intersection with Akatore Road)
Vehicles will intermittently be permitted during these closures as required and when it is safe to do so.
If you object to these temporary road closures, please contact Council with your objection and grounds in writing before Wednesday, 30 September 2026 to the Clutha District Council, Rosebank Terrace, PO Box 25, Balclutha 9240.
