Council’s contractor, Isaac Construction will be carrying out improvement work to the shoulder of Union Street in Milton, between Duthie Street and Melville Avenue, from this Monday (24 August 2026).
This is in preparation for the final parking lane, with work scheduled for this stage to start in early September, subject to weather. It involves setting the manholes to the final pavement height, alongside the trench height (work area indicated on map by blue arrow).
Affected residents have been informed by letter that the lane outside their house is being prepared for asphalt, and that a temporary ramp will be provided until the asphalting can be completed in the coming weeks.
