Reduced level of service in February for Building Control services
News
Clutha District Council advises that, due to low levels of Building Control staff, there will be a reduced level of service for February for Building Control Services.
This means that we will still be processing consents and undertaking inspections as priority and within our statutory timeframes. However, other matters such as general customer enquiries might take longer for us to respond to.
What to expect:
- Inspections: please note the majority of inspections will be carried out remotely, (there will be some exceptions such as final inspections and migrated applications).
- General enquiries: we will be unable to meet walk in customers, however we may be able to meet by appointment depending on staff availability – you can arrange an appointment by phoning.
- Phone enquiries: you may not always be able to reach us on the phone, so instead please submit your enquiry to Request General Building or Planning Information - Clutha District Council or email us at help.desk@cluthadc.govt.nz and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
If your enquiry relates to a current building consent, please lodge an enquiry via the Objective Build portal.
How can you help us to help you?
- Consider seeking professional advice when planning to build. This can save time and money during the building process.
- Make sure you are ready for your building inspection. For example, ensure approved plans are available and ready to go for inspections.
- Ensure your application is complete and has all the required information.
