PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965 notice is hereby given that NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi and Clutha District Council, for the purpose of the Clutha District Christmas Parade & Market, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

Roads proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic and period of closure:

• SH1 Clyde Street between Renfrew & High Streets 12 noon to 2pm
• SH1 Clyde Street between George & Elizabeth Streets 9am to 2pm
• Barr Street between James & Clyde Streets 12 noon to 2pm
• Elizabeth Street between Clyde & James Streets 9am to 3pm

During the proposed period of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the streets:

Detour via:

• Northbound: High Street, Charlotte Street, Charles Street, back onto SH1
• Southbound: Renfrew Street, James Street, back onto SH1

Period of proposed closure:

• Saturday 5 December 2026 from 9am to 3pm

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 4pm, Friday 6 November 2026 at the office of NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, PO Box 5245, Dunedin 9058.
