PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, for the purpose of the SIT Telford Campus Graduation Parade, proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder.

Roads proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic:

• SH1 Clyde Street between George Street & Charles Street
• George Street between SH1 Clyde Street & The Warehouse service lane

During the proposed period of closure, the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads:

Detour via:

• SH1 Southbound via Renfrew Street, James Street & Gordon Street
• SH1 Northbound via Gordon Street, James Street & Renfrew Street

Period of proposed closure:

• Thursday 26 November 2026 from 12.55pm to 1.30pm

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 4pm on Thursday 15 October 2026 at the office of NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, PO Box 5245, Dunedin 9058.
