Richardson North RWS - Disruption to supply lifted
Monday 5 October 2026 - 1.30pm
The disruption to supply notice for the Richardson North rural water scheme has now been lifted.
The raw water intake quality has improved and water is flowing through both supply lines.
The reservoirs have both filled up to a satisfying level.
Thank you for your understanding and patience while we worked through this.

Clutha District Council would like to advise consumers on the Richardson North rural water scheme that they may still experience disruption to their water supply.
The water treatment plant is producing water, but the extra cleaning of the membranes is causing extended periods of downtime and therefore we are currently alternating the water flow between the Oakleigh Road and Moffat Road supply lines.
You may notice interruptions to your water supply until the raw water intake quality has improved.

Consumers on the Richardson North rural water scheme may experience disruption to their water supply.
This is due to the treatment plant requiring extended periods of downtime cleaning it's membranes in response to the change in raw water quality after heavy rain.
