Traffic update - Union Street/State Highway 1 detour, Milton

We know this detour has been frustrating for residents, businesses and everyone travelling through Milton, and we really appreciate the patience and understanding shown so far.

At this stage, NZTA say it is not possible to remove the current detour, as work on the highway needs to continue to make sure the road is safe and repairs are completed properly.

This means the detour will remain in place for up to two months.

We understand this ongoing disruption is difficult, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience it continues to cause the community.

Crews are working hard to complete the repairs as safely and efficiently as possible.
