Lawrence - Boil Water Reminder
Council reminds residents in the Lawrence township that a boil water notice is in place.
Separately, an aluminium advisory is in place for Lawrence residents. You can read more about this advisory here
About the boil water notice
A boil water notice is in place due to problems with water treatment at the plant regarding chlorine levels.
This notice will be in place until we are satisfied that we have effective process control for the supply, and that this can be maintained consistently. We will advise when the notice is lifted.
A green tank for drinking water can be found at Tuapeka Transport in Irvine Street. In addition, a small water trailer loaned to us by Gore District Council has been placed in Lancaster Street, off Ross Place. Please bring along your own clean containers to fill with drinking water.
Anyone using water from their tap for consumption (including teeth cleaning and washing fruit and vegetables) should boil it for 1 minute before it is used.
Please visit our boil water FAQ’s page for more information: https://www.cluthadc.govt.nz/boil-water-faqs
Please help us spread the word by telling affected friends and neighbours.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this boil notice will cause.
