Swimming Pools

​Council's Pools​​

Council owns and operates pools in Balclutha and Milton.  

The Milton Pool is open Monday, November 2 (from 3pm) through till April for the 2020/2021 season.  

We also make grants available to various school and community based pools throughout the district located in Beaumont, Clinton, Clutha Valley, Heriot, Owaka, Stirling, Tahakopa, Taieri Beach, Waipahi, Waitahuna, Waitapeka, Waiwera South and West Otago.

Please do not come for a swim if you been in close contact with someone with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. Also do not come for a swim or are unwell, especially if and have a, fever, cough, shortness of breath, sneezing or a runny nose or have underlying health condition that may lead you to being more vulnerable.  Most importantly follow good handwashing and hygiene measures

Balclutha Centennial Swimming Pool

The Balclutha swimming pool features a 25m pool, a learners pool and a therapeutic pool.

The pool is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, 2 January, Easter Friday and Sunday, and opens at 1pm on ANZAC Day.

Milton Pool consists of an indoor 33m pool, 6m learners pool and a toddlers pool. It is also heated.
