The best and quickest way receive boil water notifications is via our text message service or download Council's Antenno app. To join the text message service phone Council’s Help Desk on 0800 801 350 or email us: If you don’t have a cell phone ask a close family member, friend or neighbor to join on your behalf and they can keep you updated.
We also put these boil water notices out via as many communication channels that we can to ensure the message gets out there. These additional channels include: an alert on Council's website, follow Council's Facebook Page, listen to Hokonui Radio and More FM for updates, or simply give us a call on 0800 801 350.
If you hear about a boil water notice please help us by spreading the word to friends and family especially if you know they're not online.
Antenno is Council's app that will keep you up-to-date with water scheme issues such as supply outages and boil water or conserve water notices, directly to your phone. It runs on any smartphone and is available for download from Google Play or from the Apple's App Store. You can also use Antenno to report a problem/service request to Council.

Rural Water Schemes Text Alert Notifications
Council and City Care Water offer a text messaging service to advise of water scheme issues such as supply outages and ‘boil water’ or ‘conserve water’ notices. This service is optional. At any time, names and/or numbers can be added or deleted on request. If you wish to be on the text-message list for this purpose, we obviously need your cellphone number(s). You can nominate more than one name and number.
