SH8 Beaumont Bridge Replacement Project

Waka Kotahi the NZ Transport Agency are responsible for managing New Zealand's state highway network. One of their significant routes in the Clutha District is State Highway 8 from near Milton to Roxburgh.

At Beaumont the highway crosses the Clutha River on a134 year-old single lane bridge which is one of the oldest on the highway network. This critical link on the highway is nearing the end of its economic life and Waka Kotahi are working on the project to replace it.
