Objecting to Valuation of a Property
If you don't agree with the value of a property, you can object and request a review. You have until 5pm on 5 March 2021 to object.
To do this, complete an online objection form. Or pick a form up from Council's office in Rosebank Terrace, Balclutha.
To object to a council rating value, click the link above. You will need your valuation reference or street address. You must complete this process on or before 5pm on 5 March 2021.
Complete the online form to lodge your objection. Or post your written objection to QV at the address below.
If you provide an email address, a confirmation email will be sent to you. QV ask that you keep that email or print the confirmation page as proof you have lodged your objection. If you're unable to complete an online form, you can lodge an objection in other written forms.
The address for hard copy objections is:
Business Support Centre
Level 1 QV House
22 Nevis Street

Once a valid objection has been lodged in the system, you will receive a letter of acknowledgement within 10 working days and your objection will be referred to a valuer for re-consideration. This may include a discussion with you, and, by arrangement, an inspection of the property should this be necessary.
