Jobbortunities
JOBBORTUNITIES is a programme being undertaken by the Clutha District Council utilising partnership funding from Mayors Taskforce for Jobs and Ministry for Social Development.
Jobbortunities is a Community Recovery Programme aimed to help rural councils provide assistance to people displaced from their employment under Covid-19.
Ruth Carraway is the programme coordinator providing support for people to find and retain employment and find positive outcomes for those affected. Ruth is also facilitating conversations with the wider Otago region about job opportunities.
JOBS... OPPORTUNITIES... Smash 'em together and what ya got...?? JOBBORTUNITIES - WHOOP WHOOP...!!
In October three "speed dating" type events were held in Balclutha, Queenstown and Dunedin, that put employers and potential employees together in one room to help facilitate job opportunities.
Event organiser Ruth Carraway said the the events allowed employers to sit across the table from people seeking employment or training and to establish the first links to a positive recruitment process.
JOBBORTUNITIES was a chance for Otago to look after their own and directly link the thousands of jobs and opportunities still available in the province with all those that are currently searching for employment and/or training.
We want to provide positive outcomes for those looking for employment. Ruth is available to help you, whether you are an employeer in Otago with a job that needs filled, or a job seeker looking for a job throughout the Otago Region - Ruth's contact detail are listed below.
