​Temporary changes for Mt Cooee Landfill

Temporary changes will be in place at Mt Cooee Landfill soon while work is carried out to create a temporary transfer station.

The work is expected to take around two to three days.

During this time, the public will not be able to access the usual drop-off area on top of the current cell. Instead, temporary skips will be available for general household refuse and greenwaste.

For these few days, we will not be able to accept large bulky items such as mattresses, sofas or similar furniture. Please hold on to these items until the new transfer station bays are completed.

These temporary changes will not affect commercial operations.

This work is being completed to help meet consent conditions and improve how the site functions, including safety, access and ease of use for the community.
