Community group funding options
The Clutha District Council is partnering with Strategic Grants to make it easier for community groups to search for funding options.
Council has 50 access codes available and is inviting registration from eligible community groups.
The codes give access to GEM Local - a database designed for small organisations to help identify and apply for funding.
Council Community Development Team Leader Lilly Paterson says to access the scheme community groups need to meet all the following criteria be non-profit, have an annual revenue under $1.5m, deliver projects that benefit the Clutha community and be within the Clutha District Council area, and complete a short participation survey annually.
Applicants that are part of a national organisation will need to clearly demonstrate how their services will benefit the community in the Clutha District Council area.
These applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and a decision will be made by Council in consultation with Strategic Grants.
How to apply?
First check that you meet the criteria, then to register your interest email gemlocal@strategicgrants.co.nz
Strategic Grants will be in touch shortly after this is received, with access details so your community group can register on GEM Local. Strategic Grants will put you in touch with the council if there are any further questions regarding eligibility for your organisation.
