Water Notice: Discoloured water Lawrence
News
Many residents in Lawrence will have noticed a discolouration in their water over the last week. This is caused by a mineral build up in the pipes. Our contractor have been flushing out the water mains to dislodge this until yesterday.
The water is fully treated and chlorine residual level indicates that it remains safe to drink but, if you have concerns, you can pick up a few bottles of drinking water at Lawrence service centre, 5 Peel Street Lawrence.
Please keep your garden tap flushing to notice for 20 minutes or until the water is clear. This will flush any remaining discoloured water from your water pipe. We recommend running an outside tap, and it may take up to 20 minutes to clear.
