Paying by cheque to be phased out by June 2021
Clutha District Council will no longer be able to accept cheques as payment from 25 June 2021 at 12pm.
Several banks, including BNZ, Westpac and ANZ, have indicated they will be discontinuing cheque usage in 2021.
We encourage you to consider other ways to pay your Council accounts.
Alternative ways to pay include:
- At the counter - cash and eftpos at any of Council’s service centres and i-SITE.
- Real Time Debit (BNZ or Westpac)
- Telephone and internet payment systems.
- Direct debit payments
