Water Supply Shutdown - Kaitangata
There will be a water supply shutdown on Friday, September 10 from 9am to 4pm (approximately) to some residents in Kaitangata.
The shutdown will affect residents on the streets below and a letter drop has been done to give those affected prior warning:
- 5 - 18 Start Street
- 1 – 28 Salcombe Street
- 1 – 17 Prawl Street
- 27, 29 & 57 Summer Hill Road
Clutha District Council is doing some much-needed work to extend the water reticulation network in Kaitangata, and this means your water supply needs to be temporarily shut down to connect into the existing watermain on the corner of Salcombe Street and Start Street.
Our priority will be to restore your water by 4.00pm, however things may not go as anticipated and it is possible that the water will be off for longer than this. Please be assured everything will be done to restore the water supply as soon as possible.
In preparation, we ask those affected to draw off enough water for their needs beforehand in a clean container. Once the work has been completed, there may be some discolouration and/or air in your water system. If this occurs, please run your outside taps until it clears.
If you have any queries or problems on the day, please contact Council on 0800 801 350. Council’s website www.cluthadc.govt.nz and Facebook page will also have updates as needed.
Council regrets any inconvenience this may cause but knows that this will improve your water services in this area. Thanks in advance for your co-operation and understanding.
