Digital literacy is an important part of lifelong learning, so Clutha District Libraries offers a variety of digital services, programmes, and resources that work to achieve a high level of digital literacy in our community. From in-person digital skills classes to online learning resources – there is a range of digital resources on offer to Clutha residents at the Library.
One of those services, Skinny Jump is a flexible prepaid broadband solution created by Skinny for those who don’t have a broadband connection at home because cost is a barrier. You can sign up for Skinny Jump in any of our council run libraries. Bring your smartphone that can download the Skinny Jump app, or your email address and password to signup on one of our in-library chromebooks.
We run a variety of programming throughout the year, focusing on providing digital literacy to older citizens, engaging the younger audience during the school holidays with learning and technology, and programmes with a focus on resilient mental health and strong community for all ages.
There is a large offering of staff run programmes to enjoy, or a range of community operated groups and events that take place in our libraries.
