Weather and Roading Report

Clutha District Council Weather and Roading Report

Please see our Road Notices page for the latest information about weather and roads in the Clutha District.

As a general warning, motorists are advised to drive to the conditions (this includes watching your speed and following distances) and to check conditions before leaving home.

If snow does fall, then any affected roads will be cleared in accordance with Council’s policy, meaning roads will start to be cleared when no further snow is expected within 24 hours and so that as many residences are given access as soon as possible. It can take some time for us to advise of all road closures, so please be patient while we respond to any snow clearance and/or gritting for ice.

Council’s Emergency Management Officer is monitoring the situation and we will update as necessary.
