About 17,000 people enjoy a quality of life in the Clutha District that's second to none. Clutha combines a relaxed rural lifestyle with easy access to city life, pristine beaches and outdoor recreation such as ski fields, native bush and top-class fishing. It's the perfect place for lifestyle choices while being close to Dunedin City and only 45 minutes from an international airport.
Despite thriving communities and industrious service towns, it's an affordable place to live with your housing dollar stretching much further in our towns, countryside and coastal villages. There's also easy access to health care with Clutha Health First in Balclutha, and education with a range of local primary and secondary schools, as well as tertiary-level study opportunities at Telford - a division of Lincoln University.
Council's vision and overwhelming response from the community is for positive growth in the district. We have a clear focus and the district has the potential and resources to achieve this. What we are missing is enough people to help us do that.
It's the perfect time to join our dedicated and friendly team here at Council. We're making things happen and we're looking at innovative ways to grow our district following a new Long Term Plan that makes positive growth a priority. We are investing in people and systems and would like to make moving to Clutha as easy as possible for you and your family, including incentives, help with accommodation or help finding employment for other family members.
We'd love to tell you more about what's on offer, you can ring 0800 801 350 or email email@example.com
