Further Notice of Election to
fill Extraordinary Vacancy
Member -
Bruce Ward
The Council has
received four nominations to fill the extraordinary vacancy for a Councillor
created by the recent resignation of Councillor Bruce McCorkindale. The
candidates are:
BASQUIN Jeannine M
KEACH Lesley
KEEN Douglas
LOWREY Joanna
An election will therefore be held on the following basis:

Voting will open at 9am on Wednesday 18 January 2012

Voting will close on election day at 12 noon on Friday 10
February 2012

The election will be conducted by postal vote using the First
Past the Post system

Candidates will be listed in alphabetical surname order on the
voting documents
-
Voting papers will be processed progressively throughout the
election period
Bruce Ward
residents who are not listed on the final electoral roll for this by-election
can enrol at any NZ Post Shop up to 12 noon on Thursday 9 February 2012. Bruce
Ward ratepayers who live outside the area and who are not listed on the final
electoral roll for this by-election can enrol at the Council Office, 1 Rosebank
Terrace, Balclutha up to 12 noon on Thursday 9 February 2012.
Special voting
facilities will be available at the Council Office, 1 Rosebank Terrace,
Balclutha from 9am on Wednesday 18 January 2012 until noon on Friday 10 February
2012, during normal office hours.
