Under the Local Government Act 2002, Council is required to put together a Long Term Plan every three years. The Long Term Plan sets out our priorities in the medium to longer term. It explains how we intend to contribute to the wellbeing of our community over the life of the plan, with an overlying purpose to articulate and align Council's activities with what the community wants and can afford. Important note: The Long Term Council Community Plan (the LTCCP) for the 10 years commencing 1 July 2009, approved by District Council on 25 June 2009, was subsequently amended for a change in the revenue and financing policy, which incorporates changes with respect to rate funding for the Clutha Recreation Centre and West Otago Health facility. This amendment was adopted on 24 June 2010, to take effect from 1 July 2010. Consequently, this LTCCP should be considered in conjunction with District Council's adopted amendment.
