Balclutha pool closed for roof repairs
Balclutha’s swimming pool will be closed most of this week after strong winds yesterday tore a section of roofing from the pool building.
District Swimming Pool Supervisor Holly Ramsay said repairs on the five metre-squared hole would begin today and the pool would probably remain closed until at least Friday.
As Friday was a public holiday (Waitangi Day), the pool would be open from 10am to 4pm.
Miss Ramsay said the gym at the pool would re-open as usual at 6am tomorrow.
“We apologise for any inconvenience to pool users, but obviously the pool has to remain closed due to health and safety reasons while repairs are carried out,” she said. |
