Tuesday 15 January 2008 Book of remembrance for Sir Edmund HillaryClutha residents can pay tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary in a book of remembrance opened today. The book of remembrance will be available at the Clutha District Council main office, as well as at all Council libraries and service centres until the end of Friday 25 January 2008. “This book of remembrance is a way we can honour a remarkable New Zealander who was an inspiration to many,” said Clutha Mayor Juno Hayes. Messages from throughout the district will be collated and bound to be sent to Sir Edmund’s family. |
