Clydevale Bridge road works, temporary delays to traffic
10 February 2014 - 30 April 2014 (subject to conditions)
Clutha District Council advises Clydevale Bridge users that some temporary delays may be experienced while repairs to the bridge piles are carried out over the next couple of months.
The work is expected to take around six weeks to complete, but this is subject to favourable weather and river conditions.
At times, delays of up to 30 minutes may be experienced between the work hours of 7am to 6pm on Monday to Saturdays. However, the nature of the work means that there won’t be lengthy full road/bridge closures as there were during last year’s deck and beam upgrade. Contractors will be doing what they can to minimise any traffic delays.
The pile repairs are the second part of a project to strengthen the 76 year-old bridge, following a deck and beam upgrade carried out last year.
