Clutha District Local Roading Report

The following roads in the Milton/Waihola area are currently closed due to surface flooding:

Milton area: Toko Mouth Road, Elliotvale Road (from Black Bridge Road to Toko Mouth Road), Butts Road, Bruce Road, Table Hill Road (closed at bridge).

Waihola area: Young Road, Titri Road, Taieri Ferry Road.

Black Bridge Road, Milton, has now reopened.

The next update will be provided tomorrow morning once crews have been out to reinspect roads.

Residents are also urged to take on board advice from Civil Defence ahead of a significant cold front predicted to hit southern and eastern parts of the South Island from tomorrow night - click here to visit the Otago Regional Council website for more information.

Clydevale Bridge Upgrade

Proposal to Close the Roads Listed Below

PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974, Schedule 10 (clause 11e), Notice is given that the Clutha District Council, for the purpose of bridge repairs, proposes to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. 

ROAD: Allangrange Road at the Clydevale Bridge.

DATE: Monday 15^th July 2013, to Monday 30^th September 2013.

HOURS: 7.00am Monday to 6.00pm Friday and 7.00am to 5.00pm Saturday.

Crossing the bridge will be permitted from 12.00pm - 12.30pm every day, and from 8.45am - 9.15am, and 2.45pm - 3.30pm, during school terms.

Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974 - Regulation 11

Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Regulation 11 (3) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, the Clutha District Council has fixed the following maximum weight (and/or speed) limits for heavy motor vehicles and combinations including a heavy motor vehicle on the bridges described hereunder.

It should be noted an overweight permit system is in place for the use of the bridge under prescribed conditions. Operators should apply to:
