Please remember to use the correct particulars when using Internet banking for different payments to Council such as rates or dog registration fees. For example:
Particulars: Your account number. For a debtor payment put ‘DR’ in front of the number. For a rate payment put ‘RA’ in front of the number. Code: What you are paying for. Eg. ‘Rates’, ‘Dogs’ ‘Debtors’, ‘Building Consent’ etc. Reference: The name on the account you are paying.
This will make it easier for us to know what exactly it is you are making payment for.
Also, please note that if you own multiple properties, it is essential that a separate payment is set up for each property, as above. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter. |
