Housebound
and Hospital Services
Library books and tapes can be
selected and delivered to people unable to visit the library themselves
through illness or disability. A regular delivery service is also made to the
residential homes and day hospital . Please contact your nearest library
if you wish to be included in this service, or know someone who will benefit
from it. |

Borrowing
All items, except high demand books,
are issued for three weeks. Fines will apply if items become overdue.

Renewals
Items can be renewed in person or
over the phone. Any item can only be renewed two times. Please contact your
local library before they become overdue and have your library card number with
you.
High demand books are issued for two
weeks with no renewal. |

Reserves
If an item is listed on our
catalogue but is on loan or held at another branch we can hold it for you on its
return. We will phone you when the item is available. There is a 50c charge for
this service. |

Interlibrary
Loans
When a book is not available from
our collection, we can often borrow it for you from another New Zealand Library.
The minimum charge for this service is $5.00. |

Overdue items
An overdue notice is sent once items
are overdue by a week. A second notice will be sent once items are four weeks
past their due date, then item replacement costs will be charged if items are
not returned.
Adults:
$1.00 per week per item.

Library e-books
Download and access e-books from your computer, tablet or e-reader device
(excludes Kindles for the time being) for a period of 7, 14 or 21 days. Ensure you have your library card barcode number handy.
